Introduction

Welcome to the Bainbridge Bubble.  We decided to get ambitious this year and create our own blog so our friends and family can keep up with all the new excitement in our lives.

Just to introduce ourselves a bit (even though most of you know more about us than we will share on our blog) Joe works at an accounting firm as the assistant director of the IT department.  He loves his job and loves learning more about the technology world (although I don't know if there is anything more he can learn, he already seems to know a whole lot more than I ever will about computers.  He is the mastermind behind our blog.)  He is my best friend and he keeps me laughing with his great sense of humor.  He is from Florida and loves anything to do with surfing, the beach, and sushi or crab legs.

I, on the other hand, work as an administrative assistant at an investment firm. I love my job but I am looking forward to my new job, being a mom.  I am due in June and this is my first baby so everything is an adventure to me.  The poor nurses have to put up with me crying every time I go in for an ultra sound… tears of joy, of course, and getting sick every time they have to take my blood.  One nurse said to me “Girl, it’s gonna get a lot worse than this!!  I’m trying not to think about that part.  Anyway, I am from the mountains of Utah, and I love running, biking, and hiking.  I also love the beach, and Joe has taught me to love crab legs too.

This is Baby Bainbridge.  He/She is due in June. I just started feeling him/her move, which is quite the amazing experience! We can’t wait to be parents!  We will actually find out what his/her gender is here this week, so I’ll keep you posted on that.  People keep asking us if we want a boy or a girl… well, we have names picked outalready for both genders… so we will be excited regardless.  My mom says I’d be a good “boy mom” because I am pretty active, etc.  But the only problem is that I grew up with girls and I don’t know anything about raising a boy….good thing Joe knows all about it.

buddy

This is our little cat buddy, or Fuzz Head, as I affectionately call him.  We got Buddy for free when his mom abandoned him.  He was only 4 weeks old and we had to bottle feed him for the first few weeks. Poor Joe, I sorta didn’t give him an option about getting a cat… I just forced it upon him, but little Buddy LOVES Joe, and the feeling is mutual.

So, in a nut shell, that’s our little family.  My new years’ resolution this year is to be consistent about writing on our blog.  Joe is even teaching me how to use Photoshop, so I can really make it unique so stay tuned for the next exciting news from the Bainbridge Bubble!!
